Medical Office Assistant - The Wild Rose Clinic

At The Wild Rose Clinic, our mission is to help our patients find health, healing, and hope. We are a compassionate, community-focused Nurse Practitioner clinic that provides patient-centered care in a welcoming and supportive environment. We are currently seeking a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our team on a part-time basis, 2 days per week.

Position Overview:

The Medical Office Assistant will support the daily operations of the clinic, ensuring smooth patient flow and efficient administrative processes. The ideal candidate is organized, personable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and check them in for appointments
  • Assist patients to their appointment room
  • Answer phone calls, book appointments, and assist with scheduling
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked
  • Support clinical staff with administrative tasks as needed
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
  • Light cleaning duties around the clinic

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a high school diploma required
  • Completion of a Medical Office Assistant program or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in a medical clinic or healthcare setting preferred
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems (e.g., HealthQuest)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
  • Friendly, respectful, and patient-focused demeanor
  • CPR certification an asset

Schedule and Compensation:

  • 2 days per week (specific days to be discussed)
  • Occasional flexibility to cover for other team members appreciated
  • Compensation based on prior experience and will be negotiated upon hire
