Licensed Practical Nurse - The Associate Clinic, Pincher Creek

THE ASSOCIATE CLINIC in Pincher Creek is a Primary Care practice comprised of a growing healthcare team. We provide high quality care for our patients in a dynamic team environment. We are currently seeking applications for a Temporary Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse.

Job Description

As a member of an interdisciplinary family practice team the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides comprehensive health care for patients of all ages with an emphasis on health promotion and prevention, health education, and chronic disease management.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based nursing care within full scope of LPN practice.
• Participate in quality improvement and ongoing educational activities.
• Schedule and coordinate patient referrals for tests and follow ups.
• Serve as a patient advocate and assist patient to advocate for themselves.

Position Qualifications

• Current CLPNA registration is required.
• Injection and medication administration certification including immunization is preferred.
• Previous experience working in a primary care setting is an asset.
• Knowledge and experience working with chronic disease.
• Strong computer skills and efficiency working with electronic medical records.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to be flexible, creative and effectively manage competing priorities.

Term

This position is part-time expected to be approximately .5FTE. This is a temporary 12-month role with the possibility of extension.
